Overview 

The TP-Link SG1218P 16Port PoE+ Gigabit Switch is a 16-port Ethernet switch that features Power over Ethernet Plus (PoE+) support. This means that the switch can power compatible devices, such as wireless access points and IP cameras, over the Ethernet cables that connect them, and it is capable of delivering higher power levels than standard PoE. This can be convenient for installations where power outlets may not be easily accessible, or for devices that require higher power levels than standard PoE can provide.

The TP-Link SG1218P has a compact and lightweight design, making it easy to install in a variety of locations. It supports data transfer speeds of up to 1000Mbps (also known as 1Gbps or Gigabit speeds), and all 16 ports are PoE+ enabled, allowing for a total PoE budget of 240W. The switch also has a built-in power supply and does not require any external power adapters.

In addition to PoE+ support, the SG1218P has several other useful features. It has a metal casing for improved durability and heat dissipation, and it supports Quality of Service (QoS) for prioritizing network traffic. It also has a built-in 2kV lightning protection to help protect against voltage surges.

The TP-Link SG1218P is a high-performance and reliable switch that is well-suited for powering and connecting a small to medium-sized network of PoE+ enabled devices that require higher power levels.

Dedicated 16-Port PoE+ Switch (150 W Budget) for Numerous Application 

Compliance with the 802.3af/at PoE+ standard supports up to 30 W on each PoE port. The total 250 W PoE power budget* for the 16× gigabit PoE+ ports makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from surveillance to networking in offices, dormitories, and small businesses. It is fully compatible with IP cameras, access points, IP phones, computers, printers, and etc.

QoS for a Lag-Free Experience

Ensures smooth traffic for latency sensitive applications, such as voice and video, by designating the priority of traffic based on Quality of Service (QoS).

Intelligent Power Management to Prevent Power Overload

When your total power consumption exceeds 250 W, Intelligent Power Management automatically cuts lower priority ports’ power to ensure high-priority ports’ power supply. This protects the device from power overload operation. It also automatically detects the required PoE power for your device and protects your non-PoE equipment from being damaged.

Multiple Application Scenarios

The TL-SG1218MP is fully compatible with PoE devices, such as IP cameras, access points, and IP phones. It also works with non-PoE wired devices to provide gigabit connections, such as PCs, printers, and IPTV.
